What's all this about?
KTM, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer that diversified into cars with the astonishing X-Bow lightweight, is making a GT4 race car along with renowned motorsport outfit Reiter Engineering GmbH - and this is our first look at it.
Wow, it's pretty wild!
Yes, this rendering by KISKA shows an evil-looking machine that should be pretty competitive in GT4 racing, given it uses a 320hp 2.0-litre Audi TFSI engine and a six-speed Holinger sequential gearbox, with a full racing anti-lock braking package as well. The Reiter KTM should be light too, which will make it nimble on track.
What series is it eligible for?
The KTM is homologated for both SRO GT4 and the Pirelli World Challenge GT-S classes, although 'Balance of Performance' does mean it could be carrying ballast to meet the regulations. The car will be available exclusively from Reiter Engineering and price-wise it should satisfy the stipulations set out by the SRO.
