What's this about?
A small number of Audi customers will be able to buy the RS 5 Coupé Sport Edition - a run of 75 vehicles by Audi exclusive for the US market.
How does it differ from the standard RS 5?
Standard paint colours are Nardo Grey or Daytona Grey (or Gray, if you're American) with other colours from the Audi exclusive range available at extra cost. The wheels are 20-inch items with five slim V-shaped spokes. Through the wheels the red brake callipers are clearly visible.
Is the interior as special as the outside?
There is plenty of fine Nappa leather in crimson and black with the 'RS 5' logo embossed in the seats. Both the sports steering wheel and gear selector gaiter reflect the interior colour scheme with black leather and red stitching. Bringing elements of the exterior to the interior are the trim inlays in the doors and centre console, which are finished in the body colour.
Anything else?
The price in America is $87,575, which is around 24 per cent more than price of a basic RS 5 Coupé. Mechanically there are no changes from the standard RS 5, which means 450hp, a seven-speed S Tronic automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
There are no plans to offer the special edition for sale in the UK.
