What's the news?
Three drool-inducing machines are set to be on show at the Pebble Beach Automotive weekend, all courtesy of Jaguar Land Rover. They are the 550hp Range Rover Sport SVR, the US production version of the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 and the prototype Jaguar Lightweight E-Type, of which six customer cars will be made.
All three originate from JLR's Special Operations (SO) group, with the SVR and Project 7 from the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) sub-division and the E-Type from SO's Jaguar Heritage team. Alongside them will be the full product line-ups of both Jaguar and Land Rover, with the former including the new F-Type Coupé. SVO's Project 7 is based on the F-Type but with fairings inspired by the legendary D-Type, this year celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Alongside the first-ever Land Rover to wear the SVR badge will be the Range Rover Long-Wheelbase, the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography and the 'Great Divide' past and present edition vehicles, from 1990 and 2014.
Anything else?
All three will make their public debut - for the SVR, it's the world's first sight of it - at the JLR kick-off party on the Thursday night. That's August 14, if you're thinking about booking a long-haul flight...
