What's the news?
Suzuki has a new special edition Swift SZ-L, which goes on sale from 1st March. Priced from £10,899 in three-door form, it is based on the mid-range SZ3 and comes with special design touches and more equipment.
Two-tone paint distinguishes the limited edition model; there is a choice of Boost Blue or Cosmic Black body colour paired with a white roof along with matching door mirrors and rear spoiler. The SZ-L also comes with LED daytime running lights, shared with the Swift SZ4.
Inside, the seats have a unique fabric design and silver stitching, which also features on the steering wheel and gear lever gaiter. One more item of standard equipment is cruise control while other items are shared with the SZ3, including air conditioning, Bluetooth and seven airbags.
Powering this Swift is a 1.2-litre, 94hp petrol engine, which manages 56.5mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions of 116g/km. After the first year VED will be £30 annually. Suzuki is promoting the SZ-L as ideal for younger drivers who want a stylish car with low running costs. As with all Swifts the insurance group is 11E.
Anything else?
The Swift SZ-L is also available in five-door form for £11,316. Suzuki has extended its VAT-free promotion until the end of March to keep prices down. Finance is also available with the PCP Driveplan scheme to spread the cost: a £999 deposit, 42 monthly payments of £178 and an optional final payment to keep the car.
