What's the news?
TechArt, the niche German specialist tuning company, has announced upgrades for the new (991 generation) Porsche 911 Turbo. The modifications include a rear spoiler, wings, wheels and an upgraded interior package. In other words, showing the engineers at Zuffenhausen a thing or two about how it should be done.
Exterior
Starting with a base new-generation 911 Turbo, the TechArt aerodynamic kit consists of an active front spoiler that extends either manually or automatically at speeds of over 75mph and retracts automatically back at 50mph. Combined with that is the TechArt Rear Spoiler II and TechArt Aero Wings integrated into the front inlets.
To fully ramp up the styling modifications, colour coding is used throughout. The headlights, rear spoiler, rear diffuser and side skirts are trimmed in white with trim on the wings and the exterior in an attractive azure blue.
TechArt also offers 21-inch Formula IV light alloy wheels in a five-twin-spoke design in different colours. An option of 20-inch wheels with a racing centre lock can be chosen too. The sports suspension features a lifting mechanism for height adjustment for everyday driving. Topping the exterior off are TechART branded brake calipers and a tyre pressure monitoring kit.
Interior
It's not all exterior show, either. The interior can be upgraded with a full replacement of the existing leather upholstery with bespoke stitching and colour coding that extends to the gear selector and paddle shifters, floor pedals and foot rest. A three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel is also available in what TechArt calls its 'in-house saddelry' individualisation programme.
Anything else?
And power? If you're somebody that thinks the new 911 Turbo is a wee bit slow, then TechArt offers a Power Kit upgrade to turbocharge your already turbocharged Porsche 911. No details are revealed as of yet, but as the say, if you have to ask, you may already have too many penalty points.
