What's the news?
Most people can only dream of working for Ferrari at its Maranello HQ in Italy, but for 18 lucky UK graduates that dream might just become a reality. They are part of a select group of 96 engineering and business graduates from universities across the world that have been shortlisted for the enviable prize of a six-month internship and subsequent contract, with just five successful candidates eventually securing a place with the legendary Italian marque.
Ferrari's programme, designed to harvest the best engineering and marketing talent globally, was unsurprisingly popular - more than 5,300 applications from graduates in 23 different countries were received. The 18 UK entries come from a variety of top universities, London colleges and also the Cranfield Institute of Technology.

The next stage of the process is a series of video-conference interviews today (January 22), after which half the candidates will be invited to Maranello in February for a two-day evaluation process. From that, the chosen five will start their internship in April, each one followed by an open-ended contract.
