What's the news?
The name David Brown should be familiar to car enthusiasts; the late Sir David Brown owned Aston Martin from 1947 to 1972 and is commemorated in the 'DB' models. A different David Brown has also decided to go into the sports car business, establishing David Brown Automotive, with a car due to be revealed this April.
David has brought together an experienced design team to bring to life his vision of the British sports car - currently known by the codename 'Project Judi'. Details are scarce but the finished result is promised to offer classic looks with up-to-date dynamics. Rather than update an existing design a completely new exterior and interior have been commissioned. Former Land Rover chief designer Alan Mobberley is in charge of the design team; automotive engineering experts, the Envisage Group, has developed the car for production.
Explaining the vision behind his creation David said "I wanted all the impact and style of a classic sports car, but with modern capabilities and conveniences. This is what I want in a car, but it's not something anyone really offers. So, I've created it myself."
Anything else?
The car's name, along with other details, will be revealed closer to the launch date. Keep an eye on our News pages for further updates.
