The Gallardo is dead; long live the Lamborghini Cabrera. After more than a decade in production and after 32 individual variants the Lamborghini Gallardo has finally been retired. The last car, a Rosso Mars Gallardo Spyder Performante, rolled off the production line this week, the last of 14,022 junior Lamborghinis.
We do not have to wait for too long for a replacement, however, with the Gallardo's successor, believed to be called the Cabrera, already spotted undergoing testing ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Now the brand with the bull has begun to tease the car with the first step being something called the
Hexagon Project.
Here visitors are encouraged to discover the roar of Lamborghini's new beast by thumbing a virtual starter button. Crank up the audio for this one - it's worth it.
