What's the news?
Lexus has launched a new Advance trim level to the RX 450h range. Based on the Luxury version it adds styling features for a new look; the price is £48,495.
Exterior
At the front, a deeper bumper is designed to make the car look firmly planted on the road. The headlamps are LED items that move with the steering to illuminate through bends and at junctions. Customers can choose between a fixed, panoramic roof and an electric sunroof. Wheels are a new seven spoke, 19-inch design.
Interior
Equipment levels are identical to the RX 450h Luxury, including dual-zone climate control, eight-way adjustable front seats and leather upholstery in a choice of four colours.
Mechanicals
The RX 450h uses a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine developing 295hp and an electric motor to send power to the back axle. Lexus quotes the 0-62mph time as 7.8 seconds with combined cycle fuel economy of 44.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 145g/km.
Anything else?
A £445 protection pack is available for the RX; comprising of a boot liner, bumper protection plate, cargo net and rubber floor mats.
