What's the news?
Rolls-Royce has announced that 100 new positions within the company are to be advertised in the coming weeks and months; thanks largely to its success story over the past few years.
Since 2010, Rolls-Royce has enjoyed record sales year-on-year, with early indications that 2013 is to follow suit. The company has also had to expand its production facility, not only due to the increase in demand, but to house its latest model, the Wraith coupé.
The Wraith is set to go on sale in the autumn, and some of the upcoming vacancies will be based around engineering and manufacturing the new model at Rolls-Royce's home in Goodwood. The Goodwood facility will also house new positions in marketing, sales, after sales, public relations and the Bespoke sector. The remainder of the positions will be based in regional offices around the world.
Commenting on the new recruitment drive, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Torsten Muller-Otvos said, "The continuing success of our company has made this possible. Our goal for the business remains the same: consistent, sustainable growth; which continues through new roles and our ability to attract the very best talent. Rolls-Royce is a Great British success story."
Anything else?
Rolls-Royce's announcement also caught the attention of Business Secretary, Vince Cable, who said; "Today's announcement shows how well the automotive industry continues to grow. With the right investment, skills, and research and development, we will help it grow even more. I'm sure these jobs will be highly sought after."
The first wave of job advertisements will feature in the Sunday Times and Marketing Week this week. Details can also be found on Rolls-Royce's website at www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com.
