What's the news?

Tuning company TECHART has recently gotten its hands on a Porsche Cayenne Diesel to set about 'improving' the car's looks and its already healthy powerplant. The vehicle pictured is the result of all these efforts; it has a new body kit, interior upgrades and a new engine management system.

Exterior

The new aero kit for TECHART's Cayenne Diesel isn't hard to spot. New spoilers have been fitted to the front, back and roof; with side skirts, a rear diffuser and two reflectors completing the body kit. All of these parts can be specified in carbon fibre or painted the same colour as the body. TECHART has also gone all-out with regards to alloy wheel options. Formula I, II and III designs can all be had for the Cayenne; ranging from 20-23 inches in diameter.

Interior

The inside of the TECHART Cayenne can be completely customised by the individual. Leather is fitted to all models; sewn together with individually specified stitching. Real wood or carbon fibre can be found on the dash; and a sports steering wheel comes as standard.

The W2 entertainment package can also be had; inserting two screens into the front headrests. Other options include two individual rear seats complete with a power socket and rear centre console.

Mechanicals

Under the bonnet, TECHART has installed its own engine management system, upping the power of Porsche's 4.2-litre V8 diesel unit from 382- to 420hp and jumping torque up to 950Nm. This is enough to get the sizeable Cayenne from 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 159mph.

The performance enhancements are all activated by pressing the Sport button on the dashboard; a button that we're sure will spend more time on than off. A new sports exhaust system replaces Porsche's standard item too; improving visuals out the back as well as the noise presumably.

TECHART also stresses that engine upgrades will not affect servicing or diagnostics; and can be easily removed upon request.

Anything else?

No pricing details have been revealed for the TECHART Cayenne as each model is tailor-made to the individual. So long as you don't expect the upgrades to be cheap, we don't think you'll be disappointed.
