The vast majority of drivers worldwide will do their best to remain safe at all times when on the road. However, no matter how much they do to ensure their safety, there are always one or two hazards lurking round the corner that they cannot take into account.
According to this infographic created by
first4lawyers, car and road safety has progressed significantly over the years. While things have improved overall, some common problems remain, not least the number of deaths from road traffic accidents and other less prevalent issues including lack of safety gear being worn by cyclists.

But for now, all motorists will have to make sure they're alert, wearing their seatbelts and that their cars are working properly.
