If you have placed an order for one of the myriad versions of the Nissan GT-R that promises to be faster and more hardcore than ever cancel it and cancel it now. Nissan has confirmed that, as part of the expansion of its tuning division, Nismo, it is developing a higher-powered road version of the Nissan GT-R.
The new car will be the third in Nissan's current line-up to carry the Nismo badge after the Juke and 370Z Nismo models. With Nismo being to Nissan what AMG is to Mercedes-Benz or 'M' is to BMW it does make sense that the tuning division will be let loose on the flagship sports car, but with the standard GT-R capable of hitting 100km/h from standstill in under four seconds you do have to wonder what scope there is to work with.
With no word yet on performance, pricing or even when we can expect to see the car we will just have to wait and see.
