Nissan has released a teaser sketch of its latest crossover concept. The full version of the Resonance concept will be revealed next week at the Detroit Auto Show.
Looking at the proportions of the sketch, it seems most likely that the Resonance will sit above the Juke and Qashqai in Nissan's model range - possibly as a replacement for the Murano. The original Murano didn't prove too popular with us Brits thanks to its thirsty 3.5-litre V6 engine that was taken from the 350Z. The Resonance shouldn't have that problem, however, as Nissan has told us that the concept will feature a hybrid set up.
If the Resonance doesn't replace the Murano, we could be looking at the all-new Qashqai; a model that we know is coming later this year.
Whatever the Resonance ends up being, it should be very stylish model to look at. The pillar-less doors and high window line create a sporty profile and the angular rear lights look to be complemented by sharp styling creases down the side.
We'll have to wait until Nissan's press conference in Detroit to see the full version, though. On the 15th January, all will be revealed...
