What's the news?
Porsche tuner extraordinaire, TechArt, has released details of its first tuning package for the 981 Boxster - ahead of its official reveal at the Essen Tuning Show next month.
Exterior
The body kit for the 2013 Boxster includes a two-piece front apron with a splitter, a fixed rear wing that replaces the adjustable factory unit, mirror casings, decorative elements for the air vents on the sides, as well as a rear diffuser. The show car is also finished in a rather fetching shade called GT Silver.
Interior
The silver colour is carried over to the interior where it contrasts with the perforated black leather of the TechArt sport steering wheel complete with signature paddle shifters. However, being a tuner, the final finish of the car is up to the buyer and TechArt can offer a range of leather options, decorative stitching as well as carbon fibre packages.
Mechanicals
No big power upgrades yet but there is an exhaust system that can be ordered with twin tailpipes made of polished stainless steel and can be fitted with a new muffler or a complete sport exhaust system with valve control. The German tuner also offers a sport spring kit, which lowers the Boxster by 30mm at the front and 20mm at the rear.
Anything else?
Alongside the Boxster, TechArt will display the 700hp GTStreet RS, a 911 GT2 based car with added oomph, and a styling kit for the recently released 911 Carrera S that is said to have been 'optimised for its aerodynamic effect.'
