What's the news?
Nissan has cut prices across the Micra range with the line-up now starting at £7,995 for the Micra Visia. Five trim levels are available, including the limited edition ELLE for £11,195 and the range topping £11,545 Tekna.
Exterior
The styling is unchanged but exterior details help identify the different variants. Second in the range is the Micra Acenta, with 15-inch alloys and front fog lamps. The ELLE, produced with the women's magazine of the same name, gets a glass roof, as does the Tekna.
Interior
Despite the price cut Nissan promises there has been no reduction in equipment levels. Bluetooth is standard and further up the range satnav, climate control and automatic lights and wipers are available.
Mechanicals
No changes under the bonnet either with two three-cylinder petrol engines available. Both displace 1.2-litres: there is a naturally aspirated 80hp version and a 98hp supercharged DIG-S unit. Five-speed manual and CVT automatic transmissions are offered.
Anything else?
Along with the low prices Nissan offers finance to spread the cost, which means a Micra Visia is available from £99 a month.
