What's the news?
At the 2012 Salon Privé Concours d'Elegance Show, Slovenian manufacturer Tushek will be displaying its Renovatio T500 supercar for the first time in the UK. This is the very first model from the company owned and founded by racing driver Aljosa Tushek.
Exterior
At first glance, the T500 looks like a combination of Lamborghini and Lotus. The large rear wing and front and rear splitters hint at driver-focused handling; while a more exotic body featuring KTM X-Bow-style rear lights and scissor-doors point to a car destined for more than just track days.
Interior
Standard features include satnav, air conditioning, Bluetooth and a rear view camera. The high-rise centre console, dash and heated seats are trimmed in Alcantara. A racing-spec digital read-out is fitted instead of traditional dials - together with a small sports steering wheel and a short-throw gear lever.
Mechanicals
Power for the T500 comes in the form of the 444hp, 4.2-litre V8 from the Audi RS4. Combined with the lightweight body 0-62mph is achieved in 3.7 seconds and the car tops out at 193mph. Each T500 is hand-built to order and features carbon-ceramic brakes, TRW electrohydraulic power steering and adjustable ride height.
Anything else?
The Tushek Renovatio T500's exclusivity is not an accident, as the company only plans to make 30 examples of the £235,000 supercar. Plans are also in place for a racing version called the T500R. This and more can be seen at the Salon Privé show, starting on 5th September.
