A new range-topping Chrysler Crossfire goes on sale in April powered by a hand built 330bhp supercharged V6. The car is the first in a new line of high power Chryslers badged SRT to come to the UK. The SRT-6 cracks the 0-62mph benchmark in 5.3 seconds on its way to an electronically limited 155mph maximum.
To harness the extra power the SRT has been fitted with an upgraded 5-speed automatic transmission as well as an uprated chassis, and a recalibrated traction control system to allow more sporting drivers to enjoy themselves. Other modification include new 15-spoke alloys (measuring 18-inch up front and 19-inch at the rear), more powerful brakes and an SRT sports interior.
The coupe will cost £34,335 in manual form with the automatic Roadster priced at £35,235. On the theme of pricing, the list prices for the standard coupe and Roadster have been reduced by £2,000 for 2005.
