Toyota has announced price and specification details for the refreshed Aygo range and introduced the world to a duo of new trim levels.
Available to order now ahead of first deliveries on plate change day, March 1, the new look Aygo starts at £8,495, while £9,095 will get you behind the wheel of the Aygo+, a saving of up to £105 over the 2011 model - though both cars come with the same equipment levels.
New higher specification models, called Fire and Ice, carry price tags of £9,595 and £9,895 respectively. The sporty Aygo Fire comes equipped with 14-inch alloys, front fog lights and LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, leather steering wheel and gear knob trim and a rev counter. Owners can also opt for a new Burnt Orange paint finish.
The Aygo Ice is more comfort orientated and features air conditioning, Alcantara and leather trim, a more powerful four-speaker sound system that is DAB-ready, Bluetooth and a USB port for connecting digital music players.
Whatever the specification all Aygo models are fitted with Toyota's 1.0-litre VVT-i engine that has been tweaked to deliver fuel economy of up to 65.7mpg - and in the manual version CO
2 emissions of 99g/km - giving zero annual road tax and exemption from the London congestion charge.
