Following the introduction of a 190hp, four-cylinder turbodiesel in the Jaguar XF last year the company has added a 163hp version to the range. The new model means that XF ownership now starts at £29,950.
With the new motor Jaguar claims a 0-62mph time of 9.8 seconds and a 130mph top speed. Combined cycle fuel economy is 52.3mpg and CO2 emissions work out as 149g/km.
Even though it is the entry-level model the equipment has not been pared back. The seats are finished in suedecloth and leather; there is a central touch-screen display and climate control. Transmission is an eight-speed automatic complete with stop-start.
The latest Jaguar XF is available to order now and will arrive in showrooms from March.
