German tuner MTM has announced a power upgrade for the already quite hot Audi RS 3. In standard guise the RS 3 Sportback's turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine produces 340bhp and can propel the five-door mega hatch from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds before sailing along to its electronically limited 155mph top speed.
These figures are dwarfed by MTM's latest offering though. A range of changes including free flowing exhaust, a modified ECU, turbocharger and spark plugs sees the power jump to 472bhp and maximum torque of around 442lb.ft. This equates to a full half second shaved off the benchmark sprint time and if you opt to have the speed limiter removed a top speed on the fun side of 180mph.
For those who do not want to go the full-hog MTM also offers a few 'slightly' tamer upgrades for the RS 3 with the entry level boasting 410bhp and 405lb.ft while the mid-range comes in with 424bhp and 413lb.ft of torque.
