How do you follow up a 626bhp conversion for the BMW M3 GTS? With a kit that takes the M3 up to 710bhp of course. The M3 Tornado RS has been developed by German tuning company G-Power.
The conversion features the 'SK III Sporty Drive Supercharger System'. This uses a centrifugal supercharger that feeds a carbon fibre air box said to be 8kg lighter than the standard aluminium item. Within the engine a new crankshaft increases the displacement from 4.0- to 4.6-litres. Completing the engine modifications is a titanium exhaust system designed for minimum back pressure.
Along with developing over 700 horsepower the supercharged V8 puts out 516lb.ft of torque. These figures are enough - it is claimed - to propel the M3 to 62mph in 3.7 seconds, 124mph in 9.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 205mph.
To help get the power to the ground 'G-Power Clubsport' coil-over suspension is fitted along with 'weight optimised' 20-inch alloy wheels. Michelin Super Sport tyres are fitted; 255/30 on the front axle and 295/25 at the rear. Stopping power is provided by ceramic brake disks.
The M3 also gets a variety of lightweight and aerodynamic body parts. There is a front splitter, three-piece rear spoiler and vented bonnet all made from carbon fibre.
If you fancy a G-Power M3 Tornado RS the engine conversion will set you back around £30,480 plus fitting and VAT. The carbon fibre spoilers and bonnet cost extra.
