If you're tired of sitting in traffic, and too lazy to pedal, Ford may have the answer. Its latest concept - an electric bicycle known as the E-Bike - was revealed at the
Frankfurt Motor Show.
What makes this bike different from most is the integration of a smartphone. That means you can make phone calls on the go, retrieve emails and even browse through your friends' Facebook ramblings. But, this concept has a party piece - the suspension can be controlled via the phone to adapt to the terrain underfoot.
With a front-mounted electric motor, the E-Bike is capable of a top speed of 16mph. It's powered by a 9.2Ah battery, and the handlebar-mounted smartphone also serves as a makeshift fuel gauge by displaying how much power is in reserve.
If you're down on juice or feel like some exercise, it also has a conventional set of pedals to fall back on.
The E-Bike is purely a concept for now, and it's unlikely to reach production, but certain elements could filter down to factory level.
