Porsche has yet to officially launch the sixth generation 911, but German tuner TechArt is not hanging around. The new 911, which carries the model designation 991, was unveiled tonight (September 12) in a preview event at the
Frankfurt Motor Show ahead of hitting the showrooms towards the end of the year and it is at this show that TechArt will display the individualisation options it plans to offer customers.
Well-heeled owners of Stuttgart's finest will be able to choose from a range of styling options offered for the new car. Forged alloy wheels will be available in 20- and 21-inch sizes that customers can have in either Sterling Silver or their own individual paint scheme. The lightweight wheels will reduce unsprung weight too. Exterior upgrades are set to include a custom colour, carbon fibre detailing and a restyled front bumper with air intakes to accommodate the new car's daytime running lights. A restyled rear bumper is expected to incorporate a sports exhaust system.
Inside a number of refinements including an all leather interior with decorative stitching, optic packages in carbon fibre - or in an individual colour - and a TechArt three spoke steering wheel complete with paddle shifters.
No doubt there'll be performance upgrades in time.
