Maserati has revealed its plans for the Frankfurt Motor Show next month and it seems to centre on a special version of the GranCabrio convertible. The GranCabrio Fendi was designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi using special materials and colours, along with liberal use of the Fendi logo.
The brown-looking, three-layer exterior paint finish (called 'Grigio Fiamma Fendi') is described as dark grey with an iridescent golden surface. Fendi's characteristic yellow hue influenced the 'Pergamena Fendi' wood trim fitted to the dashboard, doors and gear lever, while the embroidered Maserati tridents in the seat headrests and brake callipers are also yellow.
Fendi's double F-logo can be seen in the deeply sculpted leather seats and also on the 19-inch alloys. Special leather has been used to cover the instrument pod, the gear lever and the edges of the floor mats. Each car receives a numbered oval-shaped plaque and a bespoke car cover boasting the Fendi logo.
The Maserati GranCabrio Fendi is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 engine, putting its power to the rear wheels via an automatic gearbox.
At the time of writing there is no further information on how many Fendi versions of the GranCabrio will be built, but it is believed to be a limited production model.
More information may be released at the car's debut at the
Frankfurt Motor Show.
