The Joss Developments JP1 is making its debut at the Melbourne motor show and the company says it has a 212mph top speed. It will also cover 0-62mph in less than three seconds to put it alongside the fastest cars in the world.
An aluminium V8 engine is mid-mounted in the JP1, though Joss has yet to confirm the motor's capacity. It will produce at least 500bhp and drive through a six-speed manual gearbox.
The chassis of the JP1 is made from carbon fibre, as is the body, which helps keep the total weight down to 940kg. Wheels are 18-inch alloys.
Designed by Matt Thomas, who has worked for Aston Martin and BMW, Joss Developments intends to sell 25 JP1s per year with a price tag of more than £335,000.
