Toyota is promising to take the sting out of rising fuel prices with its latest promotion. Anyone buying an Aygo, Yaris, Auris or Verso will receive a Visa card loaded with enough credit to cover 5,000 miles of driving.
The mileage is reckoned to be equivalent to half a year's motoring and the cash value has been calculated using 'a benchmark combined cycle fuel consumption figure and pence-per-litre fuel price' (136 pence per litre for petrol and 139 pence per litre for diesel). Toyota says the deal is worth up to £635. Drivers just keep using the card until the credit is exhausted.
To qualify the cars must be ordered between 1st June and 31st September and registered before the end of the year. Customers taking out finance through the Access Toyota scheme can also take advantage of the offer of two years free servicing.
