It's not just Zagato getting in on the coach-built Aston action this week. Dutch firm HBH has revealed its plans to build a mid-engined Aston Martin model using the V12 unit from the Vantage.
HBH's car will be the first road-going Aston Martin to have a mid-engined layout and it's said to take some of its inspiration from Aston's own mid-engined Bulldog concept of 1979. One of the company's founders, Torben Hartvig, said: "We wanted to create a car that has the Le Mans racing pedigree but at the same time, from a styling viewpoint, is in complete harmony with Aston Martin's design heritage."
At present, HBH says the car will be a one-off for a wealthy customer, but has not ruled out a very small run of production models. In the past, HBH has worked on limited production sports cars for Kleeman and GTK, as well as on the Zenvo ST1.
