It's been 50 years since Aston Martin collaborated with Zagato to make the lovely DB4GT, so to mark the anniversary the pair will unveil a brand new model.
We don't know the name yet, but Aston has confirmed it will debut at the Villa D'Este Concours on 21 May.
From the look of the picture that accompanies Aston Martin's press release, the new car will be based on the Vantage. We can already determine that there's a new front lip, flared rear wheel arches, and by the look of things a double bubble roof reminiscent of the DB7 Zagato.
As well as its work with the British supercar maker, Italian design house and coachbuilder Zagato is notable for tie-ups with Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Fiat and Ferrari.
On the issue of this latest collaboration, Aston boss Ulrich Bez said: "The DNA of both Aston Martin and Zagato has combined successfully to make some of the world's most desirable collector cars in the past and in this special anniversary year of the DB4GT Zagato it is appropriate to explore a modern collaboration.
"Now is the right time for a new Aston Martin Zagato and in combining our design intelligence I think we can create something fitting of the iconic DB4GT Zagato that has gone before and since established itself as one of the most famous Aston Martins of all time."
Only 19 copies of the DB4 GT were built, three of which were made to racing specification. In homage to that particular trio, Aston will enter a version of 2011's car into endurance racing at the Nürburgring, at the end of May.
