Vauxhall will launch its new three-door Astra GTC in June and these first official images show the hatch will be very close in reality to the concept seen at last year's
Paris motor show.
The order book for the Astra GTC will open on 7 June, but we'll have to wait until September and the
Frankfurt motor show before the GTC receives it world premiere. Vauxhall will then deliver the first cars to customers shortly afterwards.
Although Vauxhall is keeping mum about the finer details, it says the GTC has a unique chassis and uses the very best of the company's latest technology. It's rumoured that Lotus has been involved in the development of the GTC's handling and ride set-up, so we can expect great things.
There will also be a high performance VXR version of the GTC. No performance figures have been mentioned, but Vauxhall insiders hint at close to 300bhp. An updated version of the Insignia VXR's HiPerstrut front suspension will be used on this model to cope with so much power driving through the front wheels.
Vauxhall says it will confirm UK pricing and specifications for the three-door Astra GTC on 7 June.
