The 8CTF is a brand new racing bike built to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Maserati 8CTF racer winning the Indianapolis 500 race.
Fittingly, Maserati has asked Italian bike maker Montante to produce the limited edition bike. Only 200 8CTF cycles will be produced and each will be individually numbered. They will also be tailor made for each owner, with the frames custom built to suit the rider.
Keeping it simple and elegant, the 8CTF bike is a single speed model and features a colour scheme inspired by the original racing car.
Wilbur Shaw won the Indianapolis race twice for Maserati and the new bike features an identical number 1 to the one used by Shaw on his race car. The Montante for Maserati 8CTF bike is on sale now and costs £3,204.
