Aston Martin unveiled the stunning new Vanquish S V12 at the
2004 Paris Motor Show. The Vanquish S is the fastest Aston in the company's prestigious history and, according to boss-man Ulrich Bez, the finest handling as well. Now offering 520bhp from its 6.0-litre V12 the S is said to be capable of “over 200mph”, along with 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and 0-100mph in 9.5 seconds. A revised final drive ratio improves in-gear response.
The S also benefits from revisions to the steering and chassis in order to make it a truly rewarding driver's car. The steering rack is 20% quicker than previous models meaning less arm twirling on twisty roads. The S also features as standard the Sports Dynamic pack that brings with it the benefits of stiffened and lowered suspension, bigger brakes and a new brake pedal assembly for improved response and feel.
The appearance has been enhanced via subtle changes to the grille, which also improve cooling, and a front splitter to improve stability at high speeds; aided by a revised rear bumper. Interior changes include new leather sports seats and detail touches and revisions.
