A new day and a new entrant for the
Top Marques show in Monaco next month. Following on from the
Spada Codatronca Monza we reported on, the Soleil Adani is another Corvette-based minnow-numbers supercar.
Using the 630bhp Corvette Z-06 as its base, the Adani is more of a coach-built revision of the 'Vette than a complete new car. Hints of the original Chevrolet can be seen in the Adani's flanks, but up front there's an all-new nose.
Developed from a design by Ugur Sahin, who penned a design study of what he thought the next Corvette should look like, Soleil has put the finished car into production. It will be unveiled officially at Monaco's Top Marques show in April.
Some of the earlier design prototype's features have not made it to production, such as the see-through bonnet. However, the overall style of the Adani is very close to the concept's.
Soleil has not published performance figures for the Adani, but it claims that the new car is lighter than the Corvette it's based on. Expect 0-62mph in around four seconds and a 200mph top speed, while the price is yet to be finalised.
