A new Light Car Sharing Concept by EDAG is to be unveiled at
Geneva Motor Show. The concept vehicle has been made up of modules of lightweight composites, propelled by an electric drivetrain. EDAG intends to improve communal traffic.
Modules are designed for fast and easy changeability as they wear out. Car sharing is made flexible by GPS software between the sharing companies. This enables them to track their vehicles.
The drivetrain of the concept consists of an axle-mounted electric powertrain, charged by lithium-ion batteries. The setup enables a 62-mile range and a 62mph top speed.
Figures of acceleration and further data will be revealed at the
Geneva Motor Show on March 1.
