This is the first official photograph of the new Quattroporte, Maserati's flagship model that will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 9 September 2003.
This car represents a new interpretation of the high performance Italian luxury saloon, a segment created by Maserati with its first Quattroporte in 1963.
Pininfarina's masterful styling is matched by a powerful 400 bhp V8, an extraordinarily spacious cabin, and the possibility of personalising the car right down to the smallest detail.
The car's dimensions are 5052 mm length, 1895 mm width, 1438 mm height, and 3064 mm wheelbase.
It is expected that the Quattroporte is to be offered in the following guises:
2003: 5.0 V8 460 bhp and 540 Nm (RWD & 4WD at the launch later this year)
2004: 4.2 V8 390 bhp and 451 Nm (RWD & 4WD)
2004: 6.0 V12 560 bhp and 650 Nm (RWD)
2004: 4.2 V8 Multijet (RWD & 4WD)
2004: Quattroporte "Royal" (long wheelbase - about 5650 mm overall length) only with 6.0 V12 & RWD
The Car Enthusiast will be travelling to the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. We look forward to bringing you back further images as well as first impressions of the car in the metal.
