Superchips has turned its attention to the Fiesta 1.6 TDCi, turning the humble diesel supermini into altogether warmer prospect.
In standard tune the car has 95bhp, but thanks to the ECU wizards at Superchips, it's possible to tune it to 118bhp - the same output as the Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S and Titanium versions. Torque goes up too, from 150- to 177lb.ft.
No performance figures have been released, but it's likely to shave at least two seconds off the standard car's 11.9-second 0-62mph sprint because Superchips says it 'outguns' the Zetec S. That car has a 9.9-second benchmark figure.
Despite the boost, Superchips says fuel economy remains as was (67.2mpg), though could actually improve because the extra torque means you won't need to push it as hard.
Available now, the chip costs £399 and comes with a 12-month supplementary warranty.
