Chevrolet will plonk a hatchback version of the Cruze into its UK showrooms this summer, after unveiling it officially at the
Geneva Motor Show next month.
The transformation from four- to five-door brings with it, says Chevrolet, a more coupé-like stance. We'll judge in Geneva, but the press picture is striking. That may have something to do with the cool blue headlamps.
The fifth door doesn't change actual luggage capacity but affords greater access to the 450-litre boot.
Chevrolet says it will be offered with a new range of engines, topped by the 161bhp diesel unit found in the Orlando. Specifications aren't available as yet, but we'd expect the price of a hatchback to mimic that of an equivalent saloon; the four-door range starts at £13,795.
The
Geneva Motor Show opens to the public on 3 March, though as ever we'll be there earlier to bring you all the hottest new model unveils.
