For the plutocrat with an environmental conscience has Mercedes-Benz announced the introduction of the S 250 CDI BlueEfficiency; it was launched at the
Paris Motor Show.
Fitted with a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, it has an official combined cycle fuel economy figure of 41.3mpg. That means CO
2 emissions are 149g/km, which apparently makes it the first car in its class with emissions of less than 150g/km.
Mercedes describes the S 250 CDI BlueEfficiency as demonstrating its commitment to producing efficient cars. The company hasn't said whether it will import the model to the UK as yet, but it's highly likely.
