What is it?
The first official image of the five-door Range Rover Evoque has been released by Land Rover. Company boss Phil Popham confirmed that the car would be officially unveiled later this year at a press conference at the Paris Motor Show.
Why's it here?
The five-door Evoque isn't actually at the Paris Motor Show, but we can expect to see it in the metal at the La Auto Show in November. The image you see here is the only one that Land Rover has released so far.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Expect the same 2.2-litre turbodiesel engines as you'd find in the three-door Evoque with 148- and 187bhp options. A manual gearbox and stop-start technology will be standard, and a 2.0-litre 237bhp petrol variant will also be available. Four-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox will be optional with all models and the 148bhp diesel engine will be the most frugal Range Rover yet with 58mpg and 130g/km of CO
