Vauxhall has announced that all new cars registered from the start of August 2010 will benefit from its new 'Lifetime Warranty'.

The first owner of any Vauxhall now has the benefit of a manufacturer's guarantee covering powertrain, steering, brake and electrical components for the life of the car or up to 100,000 miles. To preserve the coverage customers must take their car to a Vauxhall retailer for a free annual inspection.

Second-hand customers have not been forgotten; a programme to allow the second owner to purchase a Lifetime Warranty will be announced shortly.
