In October the world's first Ferrari theme park will open on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Over twenty rides and attractions promise to entertain visitors.
Unsurprisingly, everything in the park has a strong Ferrari and Italian theme. There are virtual tours of the production line at Maranello, miniature versions of famous landmarks such as the Coliseum and plenty of historic and modern cars.
Younger visitors can get behind the wheel of scaled down F430s and Formula 1 cars on a special track. Fans of rollercoasters can ride the Fiorano GT Challenge, which features replica F430 Spiders on a twisting course. There is also the Formula Rossa, which is billed as the world's fastest rollercoaster with a top speed of 150mph.
The park boasts some impressive statistics. At 86,000 square metres it is claimed to be the largest indoor theme park in the world. The venue is covered by a red painted roof measuring 200,000 square metres carrying the largest Ferrari logo ever created.
