Lexus will return to the Nürburgring with the production LFA for the 24 Hours endurance race in May. LFA prototypes entered the last two events but this year the cars will compete in the 'standard production' class.
The cars are prepared by Gazoo Racing, which prepared the LFA prototypes in 2009. The team includes three German and four Japanese drivers with a wealth of endurance racing experience.
There are rumours that Lexus will produce a limited edition LFA 'Nürburgring Edition' inspired by the racing cars. Details like the length of the limited run and specific performance improvements are not known but the pictures show a large rear spoiler and lightweight alloys as well as striking orange paint.
