Lexus has released upgrades for the IS range, including a new specification dubbed F-Sport. Lexus says that the new grade takes inspiration from the IS F. The additions include lowered suspension (IS 250 only), sports seats, aluminium pedals, 18-inch alloy wheels and an Alcantara and leather upholstery.
Along with the interior additions, fuel consumption and emissions are reduced slightly for the IS 250. Combined consumption is now 29.1mpg, which is 0.3mpg higher than in the 2009 IS. CO2 emissions are also down, from 231- to 227g/km with the manual transmission.
The equipment list for the F-Sport model includes rain-sensing wipers, HID headlights, memory front seats and a 13-speaker audio system. The satellite navigation system has also been improved, using a 40GB hard disk drive providing Europe-wide coverage. A new feature named 'sound library' has 10GB of space to store audio tracks from CDs onto.
The updated IS range starts from £24,350 with the cheapest F-Sport model at £28,290.
