Usually we treat pre-motor show leaks with cautionary scepticism here at
Car Enthusiast. But looking at these images of the forthcoming Alfa Romeo Pandion in all their perfectly lit glory suggests the fickle internet has come up trumps this time. Here, folks, is Alfa Romeo's
Geneva star. Not including the
Giulietta. Or the other concept it's showing...
Here, folks, is
one of Alfa's three Geneva stars. Based on the 8C Competizione, the only thing familiarly Alfa about the Bertone-styled concept is the nose. From its face backwards, the huge rims, ground-hugging coupé lines and expanse of clear surfacing give it a distinct
BMW EfficientDynamics Concept vibe. Just saying.
The rear end is a different matter though. It doesn't look finished, frankly, appearing as though Bertone has attached a giant magnet to the back then reversed it into an abandoned steel factory.
The Pandion is one of two Alfa concepts on show in
Geneva, with the other styled by - you've guessed it - Pininfarina. That's Pininfarina of Ferrari fame. That one will be a two-seater and rumour tells us that it won't have a roof. And we really don't know much more than that about either concept. Roll on March...
