Land Rover has announced a new model for the New Year. The Freelander 2 Sport comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a colour-coded exterior and two-tone interior trim.
Two derivatives of the Sport are offered: the standard model available in Black or Lago Grey and a version with sports styling pack, which is only offered in grey. The interior is finished in contrasting 'ebony and storm' (light and dark grey) on the seats fascia and door casings. On the standard model the seats are part leather, part cloth while the sports styling pack version is available with full leather seats.
As with
other Freelanders power comes from a 2.2-litre turbodiesel with 158bhp. Manual versions come with the Stop/Start system announced last year; the economy and emissions figures are 42.2mpg on the combined cycle and 172 grams of CO
2 per km.
The Freelander 2 Sport will go on sale from January 2010 priced from £26,695.
