Das crazy German tuning firm 9ff has turned its hand to the Porsche Panamera. In case you've forgotten, they're the boys that created the 9ff GT9, aka 'the Veyron Killer'.
Well, this isn't quite as preposterous, but if it's street cred you want with your family hatchback, the 9ff Panamera is surely the ultimate port of call (until the Lamborghini Estoque comes, at least). The overhaul comprises a performance upgrade for the
Panamera Turbo, which comes in either 542bhp, 592bhp or 641bhp forms, and a full interior and exterior makeover.
The 'mild' power upgrade is officially called the PT-55 (denoting its 550 metric horsepower rating) and is attained with an ECU upgrade and new air filters. It's got a not too shabby 561lb.ft of torque as well. The PT-60 boost is the middle one, giving the Panamera 590lb.ft with 592bhp courtesy of a sport exhaust system. But the daddy is the 641bhp, 627lb.ft PT-65, which gets all that exhaust plus a sport air filter, a remapped ECU and a new pair of turbochargers. The bonnet is replaced for a vented item as well so the whole thing doesn't overheat on the autobahn.
9ff offers a snazzy set of 22-inch rims too, so expect to see those on MTV Base shortly, as well as a 'limitless' choice of interior modification options. We don't know how much it will cost, but head to
www.9ff.de with an English-German translator to hand if you want to talk turkey.
