It's got an eight-speed transmission, disc brakes all round, cutting edge suspension front and rear and... oh, it's a bike, ok.
This is the Mercedes-Benz Folding Bike, the German firm's latest solution to inner city transport. It's got a unique folding mechanism that makes it really portable and it's light enough to carry around. The idea, of course, is that trendy inner city types have something suitably branded to ride around on while avoiding, oh, say the London congestion charge. On that basis, it could pay for itself in six months. That little fact may cushion the blow of its £1,099 asking price.
