As we speak, Lamborghini's Murciélago SuperVeloce is making quite an impression at the
Geneva Motor Show, but just in case we forget how mental the Italian maker is, here's a photographic reminder.
This is the limited edition Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster, and the eagle eyed among you will have spotted the alteration of a single digit in the name, signalling a power hike for the open topped bull. That's right, the V12's power has been eked out by 10PS to 650PS, or 641bhp in old money. The remaining '-4' means it has permanent four-wheel drive, of course.
However, the power increase, on paper at least, is slightly moot because the 0-62mph sprint remains jammed at a 'paltry' 3.4 seconds, and top speed is raised to an irrelevant 205mph, from 200mph. Piffle!
If you want one of the 50 set for production you'll need plenty of cash (though quite how big the premium will be over the LP 640 Roadster's £233k is unclear) and a stomach for, ahem, vibrant colour contrasts. Each comes with a 'Grigio Telesto' exterior that combines a grey body with a bright orange front splitter, sills and brake callipers. The interior goes from orange to grey too, a bit like the faces of most Lambo owners do after a few enthusiastically taken corners.
