Take a good look at the extra pictures here of Aston Martin's One-77 hypercar, as unless you're one of the lucky few who've got the sort of financial muscle to drop over a million pounds on a toy then this is about as much as you'll ever see of it. The super-exclusive project is reportedly running well, Aston Martin receiving a lot of interest from the sort of people who don't need to worry about the credit crunch.
The seventy seven examples that are due to be built will each be tailored exclusively for their individual customers. The only details Aston Martin is currently prepared to divulge is that the One-77 features a 7.3-litre V12 engine with over 700bhp. That will be more than enough to propel it to well over 200mph and reach 62mph nearly as quickly as it takes you to say its name.
The picture reveals a bit more of the One-77's shape and it's the most muscular, aggressive looking Aston Martin since the demise of the Vanquish. Carbon fibre will feature heavily in its structure, while active aerodynamics will help it stay firmly planted even at the upper reaches of its performance. Aston insists on calling its new creation automotive art. We disagree: hardcore, exclusive and very expensive it's a supercar as pornography, pure and simple.
