No extra power, but added aggression in its style and a more comprehensive equipment package make Mazda's RX-8 a far more appealing package. Still as practical as ever thanks to those extra little rear-hinged back doors, and still a looker, the RX-8 R3 continues to need revs to perform. That's not necessarily a complaint though, as with a sharper chassis and sweeter-shifting gearbox the RX-8 R3 gives Nissan's 350Z more of scare than ever before.
